Messages from the Epistle to Hebrews

Handley Carr Glyn Moule (1841–1920) was an English evangelical Anglican scholar who became the first principal of Ridley Hall, Cambridge, and then Bishop of Durham from 1901 to 1920. Known for joining careful scholarship with warm devotion, he wrote commentaries on many of Paul's letters. Our library holds his Messages from the Epistle to the Hebrews, a series of studies full of his characteristic pastoral earnestness.

About this book

Handley Moule's messages offer a devotional exposition of the Epistle to the Hebrews, written for readers who want scholarship placed at the service of faith. He follows the letter's witness to Christ's priesthood, sacrifice, and supremacy, and presses its calls to perseverance and hope. The tone is warm and pastoral, characteristic of Moule's preaching and writing.
