The Christian's Secret of a Happy Life

The Christian's Secret of a Happy Life

Hannah Whitall Smith (1832–1911) was an American Quaker-born writer and speaker of the Holiness and Higher Life movements. Converted to an earnest evangelical faith, she spoke at conventions in America and England and wrote with unusual warmth about trust in God. Her best-known book, The Christian's Secret of a Happy Life (1875) — held in our library — remains a widely loved guide to the life of faith.
