Light and Peace: Instructions for Devout Souls

Carlo Giuseppe Quadrupani (1740–1807) was an Italian Barnabite priest, preacher, and spiritual director. From 1771 he preached to great effect at San Lorenzo in Rome and guided many souls in the way of prayer. His Light and Peace, a compact manual of instructions for devout souls drawn largely from St. Francis de Sales, became a beloved pocket guide to peace of conscience and trust in God.
