Selections from the Writings of Kierkegaard

Søren Aabye Kierkegaard (1813–1855) was a Danish philosopher and Christian writer who lived almost entirely in Copenhagen. In a brief, intense writing career he explored faith, anxiety, despair, and what it means to become a Christian as a single individual, often publishing under playful pseudonyms. In his last years he attacked the established Danish church in print. Our library holds selections from his writings and his late essay The Crowd Is Untruth.
