Snares of the Devil

Snares of the Devil

Jean Gerson (1363–1429), often printed John Gerson, was a French theologian and scholar who served as Chancellor of the University of Paris from 1395. A leading voice at the Council of Constance, he helped end the Western Schism and wrote voluminously on reform, pastoral care, and the spiritual life. The short treatise in our library, Snares of the Devil, warns Christians against the tempter's everyday snares.
