Practical talks on Christian service by S. D. Gordon, from his Quiet Talks series, published in 1906. Gordon writes simply about the life that serves — its motives, its hidden costs, and its reward — following the pattern of Jesus, who came not to be served but to serve. Gentle in tone, it aims to make ordinary believers willing workers.
