Frederick Brotherton Meyer (1847–1929) was an English Baptist pastor and evangelist, a contemporary and friend of D. L. Moody. He pastored churches in York, Leicester, and London — longest at Christ Church, Lambeth — campaigned against drunkenness and immorality, and was a leading speaker at the Keswick Convention. His many devotional books, including The Way into the Holiest and The Secret of Guidance, remain in print today.

F. B. Meyer's exposition of the Epistle to the Hebrews, first published in 1893. Following the letter's own movement, Meyer shows how Christ, our great High Priest, has opened the way into the Holy of Holies, and invites believers to draw near with confidence rather than stand at a distance. The treatment is devotional throughout, aimed at deepening worship and trust.
