A History of the Moravian Church

A History of the Moravian Church

Joseph Edmund Hutton (1868–1937) was an English Moravian minister and historian. He contributed the Moravian articles to the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica and later pastored the Fairfield Moravian Church near Manchester from 1922 to 1934. His A History of the Moravian Church (1909) — the work in our library — traces the Brethren from Hus and the Bohemian Unity through Zinzendorf's renewal at Herrnhut; he followed it with A History of Moravian Missions (1922).
