Andrew Miller (1810–1883) was a Scottish businessman and Brethren author. Born in Kilmaurs, Ayrshire, he built a Glasgow firm that became Miller, Son, & Torrance of London, while serving as unpaid pastor of a London Baptist church before identifying with the Brethren. He encouraged and helped finance C. H. Mackintosh's Notes on the Pentateuch, and is best remembered for his Short Papers on Church History — the work in our library — long known simply as Miller's Church History.

A short treatise on church history by Andrew Miller, published in 1883. In a series of brief papers Miller surveys the church's course from the apostolic age through the medieval centuries to the Reformation and beyond. Written for ordinary readers rather than scholars, it offers a compact outline of the main eras, movements, and lessons of the church's past.
