Sketches of Church History, from A.D. 33 to the Reformation

James Craigie Robertson (1813–1882) was a Scottish Anglican churchman and historian. Educated at Trinity College, Cambridge, he served as vicar of Bekesbourne, then as canon of Canterbury from 1859 and professor of ecclesiastical history at King's College, London. His four-volume History of the Christian Church carried the story to the Reformation; our library holds his briefer Sketches of Church History, from A.D. 33 to the Reformation, written for the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge.

About this book

An outline of church history by J. C. Robertson, published in 1882, running from AD 33 to the Reformation.
