Matthew Henry (1662–1714) was an English Nonconformist minister, pastor of a Presbyterian congregation in Chester. He is remembered for the work he began in 1704, his Exposition of the Old and New Testaments — a complete Bible commentary of warm, practical, quotable exposition. Henry finished the text through Acts; after his death, fellow ministers completed the remaining volumes from his notes. All six volumes are in our library.

About this book

Volume six of Matthew Henry's commentary on the Bible, covering Acts through Revelation. Henry himself carried the work as far as Acts; the remaining books were completed after his death by fellow ministers working from his notes, in his manner. The volume follows the church's expansion, Paul's letters, and the Revelation's closing vision of Christ victorious and His people home.
