Barton Warren Johnson (1833–1914) was an American preacher and commentator of the Restoration Movement, the movement of the Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. He travelled, preached, and edited in the Midwest and wrote commentaries designed for ordinary readers rather than scholars alone. His best-known work, The People's New Testament with explanatory notes on every chapter, is in our library together with the third volume of his New Testament Commentary.

Volume three of the People's New Testament, Barton Warren Johnson's commentary for ordinary readers, covering the Gospel of John. Johnson explains the text verse by verse in plain language, with notes drawn from the geography, customs, and history of the apostle's world.
