Synthetic Bible Studies

James Martin Gray (1851–1935) was an American pastor, Bible teacher, and editor in the Reformed Episcopal Church who became president of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, serving from 1904 to 1934. A leader of the early fundamentalist movement, he also edited the Moody Monthly and wrote hymns, including 'Only a Sinner Saved by Grace'. Our library holds his Synthetic Bible Studies and his Christian Workers' Commentary on the whole Bible.

About this book

A survey course of the whole Bible by James M. Gray, longtime leader of Moody Bible Institute, published in 1906. Gray's 'synthetic' method studies each book as a whole, tracing its main theme and outline before examining details. Designed for classes and private study alike, it helps readers grasp the unity and progress of Scripture book by book.
