The Sovereignty of God

The Sovereignty of God

Arthur Walkington Pink (1886–1952) was an English Bible teacher who pastored in the United States and Australia before retiring to the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. From 1922 he published the monthly Studies in the Scriptures, and his books — The Sovereignty of God, The Attributes of God, and verse-by-verse Gleanings and studies — are marked by careful exegesis and a high view of God's sovereignty in salvation.

About this book

A. W. Pink's vigorous defense of the sovereignty of God, first published in 1918 and now a standard Reformed classic. Pink traces God's sovereign rule in creation, providence, and salvation, and considers its bearing on prayer, human responsibility, and suffering. Written to recover a God-centered faith, it challenges readers to submit their thinking about God to Scripture alone.
