Abraham Kuyper (1837–1920) was a Dutch Calvinist theologian, pastor, and statesman. He founded the Free University of Amsterdam, the Anti-Revolutionary Party, and the Reformed Churches in the Netherlands, edited a daily newspaper, and served as prime minister from 1901 to 1905. His Princeton Stone Lectures, published as Calvinism, and his great work The Work of the Holy Spirit are both in our library, along with many of his meditations.

Abraham Kuyper's major treatise on the person and work of the Holy Spirit, published in English in 1900. Kuyper traces the Spirit's work from creation and the Old Testament through regeneration, sanctification, and the gifts given to the church. A substantial statement of Reformed pneumatology from the leader of the Dutch neo-Calvinist movement.
