Faith's Checkbook

Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834–1892) was an English Baptist preacher who pastored London's Metropolitan Tabernacle for thirty-eight years. Converted as a teenager, he became the most widely heard preacher of the Victorian age — the 'Prince of Preachers' — drawing thousands weekly and publishing his sermons around the world. Our library carries his Morning and Evening devotional, The Treasury of David, and dozens of his sermon volumes.

About this book

A year of daily readings from C. H. Spurgeon, first published in 1888, each built on a single promise from Scripture. Playing on the language of banking, Spurgeon invites believers to draw on God's promises by faith, presenting the promise, meditating briefly, and sending the reader into the day with it. Simple, fresh, and full of encouragement.
