Spurgeon's Sermons Volume 03: 1857

Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834–1892) was an English Baptist preacher who pastored London's Metropolitan Tabernacle for thirty-eight years. Converted as a teenager, he became the most widely heard preacher of the Victorian age — the 'Prince of Preachers' — drawing thousands weekly and publishing his sermons around the world. Our library carries his Morning and Evening devotional, The Treasury of David, and dozens of his sermon volumes.

About this book

From 1857, the third volume of C. H. Spurgeon's published sermons, this collection preserves preaching from the opening years of his London ministry. Grace is the keynote throughout: grace that saves, grace that sustains in trial, and grace that trains Christians in obedience and love. It is a fitting volume for readers who value evangelical preaching that is doctrinal in substance and pastoral in tone.
