Spurgeon's Sermons Volume 43: 1897

Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834–1892) was an English Baptist preacher who pastored London's Metropolitan Tabernacle for thirty-eight years. Converted as a teenager, he became the most widely heard preacher of the Victorian age — the 'Prince of Preachers' — drawing thousands weekly and publishing his sermons around the world. Our library carries his Morning and Evening devotional, The Treasury of David, and dozens of his sermon volumes.

About this book

Published in 1897, after Spurgeon's death, volume 43 continues the Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit with sermons preached during his London ministry and preserved by his congregation. Each sermon is built on a text, expounded carefully and applied to hearers in their work, homes, sorrows, and hopes. The result is preaching meant to be used, carried into the home, the workplace, and the prayer closet through the week.
