Spurgeon's Sermons Volume 61: 1915

Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834–1892) was an English Baptist preacher who pastored London's Metropolitan Tabernacle for thirty-eight years. Converted as a teenager, he became the most widely heard preacher of the Victorian age — the 'Prince of Preachers' — drawing thousands weekly and publishing his sermons around the world. Our library carries his Morning and Evening devotional, The Treasury of David, and dozens of his sermon volumes.

About this book

The 1915 volume in the great series of C. H. Spurgeon's Metropolitan Tabernacle sermons. Spurgeon's preaching joined plain speech to deep doctrine, and each sermon here takes up a passage of Scripture and applies it to sinners and saints alike. Published more than twenty years after his death, the volume shows how durable his pulpit work proved to be.
