Natural Law in the Spiritual World

Natural Law in the Spiritual World

Henry Drummond (1851–1897) was a Scottish evangelist and scientist. A lecturer in natural science at the Free Church College in Glasgow, he travelled with D. L. Moody's campaigns in Britain and America and spoke to students across the English-speaking world. His address The Greatest Thing in the World — a meditation on 1 Corinthians 13 — became a devotional classic; our library also holds The Ideal Life and other collections of his addresses.

About this book

Henry Drummond's widely read book of 1883, which argues that the spiritual world is governed by laws as real as those of nature. By analogy, as life in nature comes only from life, so spiritual life comes only from Christ, and Drummond leads his readers toward the new birth. A famous bridge between Victorian science and evangelical faith.
